In terms of business models, affiliate marketing has a lot of appeal for someone like me (full-time working mom) who can’t afford to make an enormous investment in time or money to get a more traditional business venture going. This is what appealed to me at least, and for years knew this was how I would get started on my entrepreneurship journey – because if I could master building an audience and successfully marketing other people’s products and services, then I could easily add in my own products and services later. You can get started with little money and work at your own pace as time allows. Moms like me need flexibility!
But as I have been actually starting to try and get going with an affiliate marketing business, I have not been finding it EASY. Sure, I have scrolled past dozens and dozens of ads promising to solve my problem with just a few dollars and few days, but I know enough about what it takes to build an online presence from my teenager web-hobby days that I do not trust anyone offering an easy-button solution. That is why when I stumbled across Dean Holland’s affiliate marketing mentorship program, I was much more willing to buy in. Dean tells it to you straight about the commitment required to be successful and doesn’t make outrageous claims to riches overnight.
I desperately wanted a mentor – someone who had done it before and could walk a beginner thru how to repeat the required steps to successfully build an affiliate marketing business – and that is EXACTLY what Dean offers. I get access to hours of training content, live coaching as often as I need whenever I get stuck or need more help, and membership in a community of people trying to accomplish the same goals for support and encouragement.
I won’t lie, it was still tremendously scary to invest the money into the program even when I knew in my gut this was exactly what I had been looking for. While my current job provides a good income, it’s still been difficult to put money away into savings. And with today’s inflation problem, it’s just extra scary to think about what the future brings financially.
But to me, I felt it was even scarier to invest a lot of time and money in my business without a been-there, done-that coach to help me thru the process. Someone who can help me do it the right way from the start and get consistent results more quickly. I took a risk and so far have not regretted it. I really feel supported in this journey with all the help and resources that are offered in the program. And the community of fellow program members are super supportive as well.
I invite you to comment below and tell me about how you’ve started out in your own online business journey. What do you wish you could go back and tell other beginners? Or if you’re starting out yourself, I would love to hear about what you’re learning and doing now.
What tips can you offer to someone like me?
With love,
